ABOUT

At Luminous Physio, we take the time to talk about all of your issues and give you tools to care for them. Nothing is too private or irrelevant.

Dr. Sarah Woodward, PT, DPT, OCS, WCS

Pronouns: she/her

Hi! I am Sarah and I love my work as a pelvic health physical therapist because I get to witness life-changing transformation in people who are dealing with issues they never thought they would experience. Orthopelvic PT with an emphasis in Spine and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation has been the focus of my practice since 2009. I am a manual therapist, movement specialist, researcher, and educator. When I am not working, I am most likely outside with my spouse of 16 years and our favorite pup, Fiona. Moving through nature makes me feel alive, connected and grounded.

Whether you are suffering through a new injury or trying to manage a chronic, recurring issue, my role is listen to you and your story, partner with you to develop a game plan that works for your current situation, and empower you with tools to care for your body long term.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelors in Psychology: University of Louisville, 2005.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy: University of Kentucky, 2009.
  • Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, since 2012.
  • Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy, since 2017.
Luminous Physio is committed to ending the stigma associated with pelvic floor dysfunction. We all have pelvic floors and sometimes they get injured — just like any other body part!

Let’s work together to find what your body needs to heal.
